Delegation - a simple term - yet very difficult to action. Why?

The reluctance to delegate is based on fear and rigid beliefs of what it means to be efficient, or what it means to lead. Often managers feel it can be quicker to do a task themselves; others feel they don't have the time to train people to the same standard.

However, when done well, delegation can develop talent for the organization, greatly improve level of confidence and independence in a team, save the line manager time and improve performance levels across the board.

In this workshop, managers will gain insights and practical techniques that will assist to identify appropriate tasks to be done by others, methods of selecting the right person for the job while remaining in control.
